Click Speed Test
Free click speed test. Measure clicks per second over 1, 5, 10, or 30 seconds with live CPS, peak CPS, per-second graph, and saved personal bests.
Duration
Pick the test length. The first click starts the timer, so the measurement window matches the published duration exactly.
Works with mouse, touch, pen, Space, and Enter. Auto-repeat keys are ignored to keep counts honest.
Personal bests
Stored in this browser only. Bests are total clicks at each duration.
- 1 second0 clicksno run yet
- 5 seconds0 clicksno run yet
- 10 seconds0 clicksno run yet
- 30 seconds0 clicksno run yet
CPS tiers
Rough bands for sustained clicking over several seconds. Single short bursts will go higher than any sustained number listed here.
- Under 3 CPSResting click
- 3 to 5 CPSCasual
- 5 to 7 CPSAverage
- 7 to 9 CPSFast
- 9 to 12 CPSVery fast
- 12+ CPSElite (jitter or drag click)
How to use
- Pick a test duration: 1, 5, 10, or 30 seconds. The 10-second test is the most common online standard; the 1-second test is a quick burst check.
- Click anywhere on the big target to start. The first click arms the timer and is counted as click number one, so the test window matches the chosen duration exactly.
- Keep clicking the target as fast as you can until the timer reaches zero. The live count, time remaining, live CPS, and progress bar update as you go.
- When the timer ends, read the result panel: total clicks, average CPS over the full window, peak CPS measured in any one-second sliding slice, and a per-second graph.
- Your highest result per duration is saved in this browser as a personal best. Click Reset to try again, or pick a different duration to chase a new record.
- Use Copy result to paste the summary into a chat or spreadsheet, or Clear bests to wipe the saved leaderboard.
About this tool
Click Speed Test, often searched as CPS test or click test, counts how many clicks you deliver inside a fixed window and reports your clicks per second. Pick a duration of 1, 5, 10, or 30 seconds and the first click on the target arms the timer at the same instant it is counted, so the measurement window matches the published duration exactly and a slow first click does not give you a free head start. While the run is live the target shows the running click count, the seconds remaining, the live CPS (clicks divided by elapsed milliseconds, times 1000), and a progress bar so you can pace yourself. When the timer expires the tool freezes the run and shows three numbers: total clicks, average CPS over the whole window, and peak CPS measured as the largest count of clicks observed in any sliding one-second slice of the run. A per-second bar graph breaks the run into one-second buckets so you can see whether you started fast and faded, ramped up over time, or held a steady rate; this is often more informative than the raw average because click speed is rarely uniform. Timing uses the browser's high-resolution monotonic clock through performance.now and the DOMHighResTimeStamp attached to each pointer and keyboard event, which is resilient to wall-clock drift, system-time changes, and laptop sleep, and is at sub-millisecond resolution in modern browsers. The target accepts mouse, touch, pen, Space, and Enter inputs; auto-repeat keys are filtered so a held-down Space cannot inflate the count. Personal bests are saved per duration in your browser's local storage and shown as a small leaderboard so you can chase your own record on each test length; a Clear bests button wipes them on demand. The tier list (resting click under 3 CPS, casual 3 to 5 CPS, average 5 to 7 CPS, fast 7 to 9 CPS, very fast 9 to 12 CPS, elite 12 CPS and above which is normally only reached by jitter clicking or drag clicking) is an honest rough guide and not a strict benchmark. Useful for picking a competitive mouse, calibrating click macros, testing whether a worn-out switch is double-clicking, comparing two gaming setups, training for click-heavy games, or just settling a friendly contest. Everything runs entirely in your browser; clicks, timestamps, and bests are never uploaded.
