How to use

1. 1Tap the big number in any counter card to add one. The total of every counter updates at the top of the page.
2. 2Click Add counter to track more than one thing at a time. Up to 12 counters can run side by side.
3. 3Rename a counter by clicking its title and typing what you are tracking (Customers, Reps, Birds, Cups of water, etc.).
4. 4Set Step to count by any value from 1 to 1000. Set an optional Goal to draw a progress bar and play a chime when you reach it.
5. 5Use the minus button to subtract, Reset to zero a single counter, Reset all to zero every counter, and Remove to delete a counter you no longer need.
6. 6On desktop, focus a counter and use keyboard shortcuts: Space or Enter or + to add a step, - or Backspace to subtract, and 0 to reset.
7. 7Tick Click sound for a soft cue on every press. Click Copy summary to grab a plain-text snapshot of every counter and the grand total.

About this tool

Tally Counter is a free online click counter that runs entirely in your browser. Tap the big number on any counter card to add one, hit the minus button to subtract one, and watch the running total of every counter update live at the top of the page. Each counter has its own editable name (Customers, Reps, Birds, Glasses of water, Push-ups, whatever you are tracking), a step size from 1 to 1000 so you can count by ones, fives, tens, or any other interval, and an optional goal that draws a progress bar across the card and fires a soft celebration tone the moment you cross it. Run up to twelve counters side by side, perfect for comparing two or more categories at the same time: in versus out, home versus away, before versus after, male versus female on a wildlife survey, lunch orders, classroom hands raised by question. Keyboard shortcuts cover every action when a counter card has focus: Space or Enter or the plus key adds one step, the minus key or Backspace subtracts one step, and 0 resets the focused counter to zero. On a phone or tablet, the entire number is the increment target so the tool works one-handed for sports refs, librarians counting book returns, conservation surveys, retail door clickers, attendance checks, baby kick counts, tasbeeh and prayer counts, drinking water glasses, sermon catchphrase tallies, pull-up and push-up reps, sales calls, parking lot vehicle counts, knitting row counts, dart scoring, board game tracking, and any moment when you need a clicker but do not have one handy. An optional click sound uses the Web Audio API to play a short blip on each press; it defaults to off because most counting sessions want silence. Copy summary drops a plain-text snapshot of every counter and the grand total onto your clipboard so you can paste a session result into a notes app, spreadsheet, or message. Counts are stored in the browser's localStorage so a tab reload, accidental refresh, laptop sleep, or device restart does not lose your work; nothing is uploaded, nothing is sent to a server, and the counts disappear when you clear browser data or click Reset all. Useful as a free alternative to a physical hand-held tally counter, a borrowed clicker app, or a sticky note covered in tally marks.
