Use this for checks, money orders, or a manual non-cash total. How to use
- Pick your currency at the top. The bill and coin rows update to match the denominations in circulation for that currency.
- Enter the quantity of each bill in the Bills card. The per-row subtotal, Bills subtotal, and grand total update on every keystroke.
- Enter the quantity of each coin in the Coins card. Coin and bill subtotals are shown separately so you can match them against a coin roll or a wrapped count.
- Optionally add a non-cash amount (checks, money orders, manual entry) in the Other amount card, with any label you choose.
- Read the pinned grand total and the per-denomination breakdown on the right. Use Copy deposit summary to paste a deposit-slip-style report, or Clear all counts to start a fresh count.
About this tool
Cash Counter adds up a stack of bills and coins by denomination so you can reconcile a cash drawer, prepare a bank deposit, total a fundraiser, or check the float in a tip jar without doing the arithmetic in your head. Pick a currency (US Dollar, Euro, British Pound, Canadian Dollar, Australian Dollar, Japanese Yen, or Indian Rupee), then type how many of each bill and coin you have. Every row shows its own subtotal as you type, separate Bills and Coins subtotals roll up the count and value of each group, and an optional Other amount line lets you fold in checks, money orders, or a manual non-cash total under any label you like. The grand total stays pinned in the result panel and is formatted with Intl.NumberFormat, so the symbol, grouping, and decimal places match the currency you chose; Japanese yen prints with zero decimals while every other supported currency prints two. All math runs on integer minor units (cents, pence, paise, kuruş) so totals never drift through floating-point arithmetic, and quantities are clamped to a sensible maximum so a runaway value can never freeze the page. A Copy deposit summary button assembles a plain-text deposit-slip-style report (one line per denomination with quantity and subtotal, group subtotals, and a grand total) that you can paste into a spreadsheet, an email, a chat, or a paper slip. Each currency keeps its own counts as you switch between them, which is useful when you reconcile a cash drawer at a venue that takes more than one currency or compare a friend's count to yours. Everything happens locally in your browser, so the numbers you type never leave your device. Useful for cashiers and store managers running an end-of-shift drawer count, bank tellers preparing deposit envelopes, baristas counting a tip jar, teachers running a classroom money-counting exercise, fundraisers tallying donation bills, and anyone counting an inherited piggy bank or a vacation leftover of foreign cash.
