How to use

1. 1Type the letters on your rack into Your letters, using ? or _ for a blank tile (up to twelve tiles, at most two blanks).
2. 2Read the results grouped by word length and sorted by Scrabble score, with the highest-scoring plays first.
3. 3Use the length, contains, starts-with, and ends-with filters to match a specific open spot on the board.
4. 4Click Copy results to copy the full word list, or load a sample rack to see how it works.
5. 5Use Reset to clear the rack and filters and start over.

About this tool

Word Unscrambler finds every dictionary word you can build from a rack of letters, the way you would for Scrabble, Words With Friends, Wordle, Boggle, or a newspaper jumble. Type your tiles, add a ? or _ for any blank, and the tool generates every multiset of your letters, looks each one up in a bundled English word list indexed by letter signature, and returns the matches grouped by length and sorted by Scrabble score so the highest-value plays come first. Blank tiles expand across the whole alphabet, and the rack is capped at twelve tiles with at most two blanks so results stay fast. Length, contains, starts-with, and ends-with filters let you narrow the list to words that fit an open spot on the board. The bundled word list is a curated set of common English words from two to nine letters drawn from public-domain frequency lists; it is not an official tournament dictionary, so legality for a sanctioned game should be confirmed against your event's official source. Everything runs locally in your browser, so the letters you type are never uploaded to a server.
