About this tool

Shoe Size Converter translates a single shoe size into every other system on the same row of the international size chart: US Men, US Women, UK and Australian Men, EU (Paris point), JP / Mondopoint in centimeters, plus the matching US Kids / Youth and UK Kids labels. Pick the system you already know, type your size with half sizes if you want, and the rest update on the spot. The conversion is anchored on foot length in millimeters because that is the only physical quantity behind every sizing system: US and UK adult sizes use the barleycorn step (1/3 inch, about 8.467 mm per full size), EU uses the Paris point step (2/3 cm, about 6.667 mm per full size), and JP / Mondopoint is the foot length itself in centimeters. The tool also accepts a measured foot length in either centimeters or inches and maps it to the nearest published half size. The on-page chart lines up adult sizes from US Men 3.5 through 16, US Women 5 through 17.5, UK / AU Men 3 through 15.5, EU 35 through 49.5, and JP 22.0 cm through 30.5 cm. A second chart covers kids and youth from US 0c through 7y, and a sizing note explains the half-size variation typical between brands, athletic lasts, dress lasts, and boots. Useful when you are shopping on international stores, ordering shoes for kids whose sizes change every few months, comparing US to European running shoes, converting between US Men and US Women for unisex sneakers, or translating a foot measurement in centimeters into a brand size.
