About this tool

URL Cleaner removes tracking parameters from any link so the URL you share or save is the canonical version, not the version that carries your campaign IDs, click IDs, and analytics tokens back to the next person who visits. The cleaner runs in your browser using the native URL API and a curated catalog of tracking parameters drawn from public references like ClearURLs and AdGuard. Generic tracker categories cover UTM and campaign IDs (utm_source, utm_medium, gclid, fbclid, msclkid, ttclid, dclid, twclid, gbraid, wbraid, yclid), social sharing (igshid, share_id, twsrc, rdt_*), analytics (_hsenc, _hsmi, vero_id, mkt_tok, mc_eid, oly_enc_id, pk_*, matomo_*, elq*), affiliate and e-commerce (ref, ref_, affiliate, tag, ascsubtag, linkCode, irclickid, cjevent), email and newsletter IDs (mc_cid, ml_subscriber, list_id, campaign_uid), and a long tail of other trackers (NCID, WT.mc_id, ranMID, _bta_*, ICID). Each category toggles independently, and a custom field lets you add your own parameter names or prefixes (end with * to match a prefix like _ga*). On top of the generic catalog the tool ships strict cleaners for major platforms: YouTube (drops si, pp, feature, ab_channel), Amazon (reduces the path to /dp/{ASIN} and removes ref, tag, psc, linkCode, spIA), Spotify (drops si), X / Twitter (drops s, t, ref_src, ref_url), TikTok (drops _t, _r, is_from_webapp, sender_device), LinkedIn (drops trk, lipi, originalSubdomain), Reddit (drops share_id, rdt parameters), Facebook (drops mibextid, notif tokens), eBay (drops _trkparms, mkrid, campid), AliExpress (drops spm, scm, aff_*), and Google search (drops ved, ei, sa, sca_esv, biw, bih). Extra options upgrade http to https, strip the www prefix, remove the URL fragment, sort the remaining parameters alphabetically, or strip a trailing slash for a fully canonical share link. Paste one URL or a whole list (one per line) for a batch clean. The output shows every removed parameter, which strict cleaner ran, and the final URL ready to copy. Useful when you want to share a clean link, save a bookmark without analytics IDs, dedupe URLs in a content audit, or compare two URLs that differ only in their tracking parameters. Everything stays on your device.
