Random values come from crypto.getRandomValues, the browser standard cryptographic source. Strength is shown in bits of entropy. Aim for 60 bits or more for online accounts; 80 or more for sensitive accounts.
How to use
- Set the password length and pick which character classes to include.
- Optionally exclude look-alike characters and choose how many passwords to create.
- Click Generate passwords to produce a fresh batch.
- Use the per-row Copy button or Copy all to copy the result.
About this tool
Password Generator builds strong random passwords using your browser crypto APIs. Pick a length from 4 to 128 characters, mix lowercase, uppercase, numbers, and symbols, and optionally exclude look-alike characters that are easy to confuse. Generate one password or a batch of up to 20, with a live entropy estimate so you can see how strong each password is.
