How to use

1. 1Type your full birth name (first, middle, last) into the name field. Use the name on your birth certificate for the most traditional reading; the calculator ignores spaces, hyphens, punctuation, and accents.
2. 2Pick your birth date with the date picker. The calculator uses your month, day, and year to compute the Life Path, Birthday, and Personal Year numbers.
3. 3Read the six core numbers at the top of the reading, each with a single-digit (or master) number, a one-line title, and a short paragraph that explains what that number tends to indicate.
4. 4Open Birth date math to see how the Life Path is built: month, day, and year are reduced separately (preserving master numbers), then the three results are summed and reduced again.
5. 5Scroll to Name math to see every letter color-coded as vowel or consonant with its numeric value, and the three sums (vowels, consonants, full name) that feed the Expression, Soul Urge, and Personality numbers.

About this tool

Numerology Calculator turns your full birth name and date of birth into the six numbers that make up a complete numerology reading. The Life Path number comes from your birth date and describes the broad theme of this lifetime. The Birthday number is the day of the month you were born, reduced. The Expression or Destiny number is the sum of every letter in your birth name and points to the talents and tendencies that name supports. The Soul Urge or Heart's Desire number is the sum of the vowels in your name and reflects what you want most deeply. The Personality number is the sum of the consonants in your name and reflects how others tend to perceive you on first meeting. The Personal Year number combines your month and day of birth with the current calendar year and changes on a nine-year cycle. Letters use the Pythagorean system (A=1, B=2, ... I=9, J=1, ...), with Y treated as a vowel when its neighbors in a word are consonants and as a consonant when a regular vowel sits next to it. Master numbers 11, 22, and 33 are preserved at every step of reduction instead of being collapsed to 2, 4, or 6, and karmic debt numbers 13, 14, 16, and 19 are flagged when they appear in any unreduced total on the way to your final number. The page shows the full step-by-step math for the birth date (month, day, year reduced separately, then summed) and for the name (every letter with its value, the vowel sum, the consonant sum, and the full-name sum), plus a short, plain-language meaning for each number that explains what it tends to indicate.
