About this tool

Country Code Lookup is an interactive reference for every country and territory assigned an ISO 3166-1 code. For each of the 249 entries the tool shows the alpha-2 code (US, GB, DE), the alpha-3 code (USA, GBR, DEU), the three-digit numeric code (840, 826, 276), the short English name and the official ISO name, the UN M49 region and sub-region grouping, the matching country code top level domain in lowercase, and a flag built from the alpha-2 letters via Unicode regional indicator symbols. Search accepts country names, partial names, official names, regions like Caribbean or Western Asia, and any of the three code formats, so typing DE, DEU, 276, Germany, or Federal Republic all jump to the same entry. A region filter narrows the browse list to Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe, Oceania, or Antarctic, and an export panel produces the filtered list as a copyable text block (alpha-2, alpha-3, numeric, or name, one per line) or as a JSON array ready to drop into a country dropdown, an internationalization config, an hreflang map, an analytics segment, or a CSV. Useful for building country selectors and address forms, populating hreflang tags for SEO, generating ccTLD lists, mapping phone-number locales, normalizing user-submitted country names to a canonical short code, sanity-checking ISO codes in CSV exports, and learning which alpha-2 maps to which alpha-3 without leaving the browser. The dataset is shipped statically with the page; nothing about the country you look up is sent anywhere.
